AUSTIN, TX — Mexico's leading alternative rock band will stop in Austin this fall as part of its 15-stop U.S. Tour. Café Tacvba, best known for hits like "Eres" and "La Ingrata," will perform Friday, Nov. 19 at Bass Concert Hall, 2350 Robert Dedman Drive. Fans can get early access to tickets starting 10 a.m. Tuesday until Thursday at 10 p.m. on Ticketmaster using the password TACUBA32. General tickets will go on sale Friday on the website. Out of the 15-stop U.S. tour, the Mexican band will make five other stops in Texas including Houston, McAllen, San Antonio, Irving and El Paso. Other U.S. city destinations include New York City, Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami and Orlando. Café Tacvba is known for spearheading a non-conformist musical movement with their blending of elements such as rock, indigenous folk, electronic and punk music, officials said. The awards include a Grammy for "Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album" (Cuatro Caminos), Latin GRAMMY "Best Rock Album" (Revés/YoSoy), Latin GRAMMY "Best Alternative Album" (Cuatro Caminos), Latin GRAMMY "Best Rock Song" (twice, for Eres and Esta Vez) and Latin GRAMMY "Best Alternative Song" (Volver a Comenzar).
