Man, 36, Shot Multiple Times, Dies From Injuries: Oak Forest PD

OAK FOREST, IL — A 36-year-old man was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon and later died from his injuries, according to Oak Forest police. Police said officers responded to calls of shots being fired in the 4100 block of 167th Street in Oak Forest around 4 p.m. Sunday. When officials arrived, they found Jamiah Woods shot several times. Officers from Oak Forest and Country Club Hills tended to Woods until he was transported to Christ Advocate Medical Center for treatment. Police said Woods later died from his injuries. Police are investigating Woods' death as a homicide, and if anyone has any information related to the incident, they should call the Oak Forest Police Department Investigations Division at 708-687-1376.
