Children At Arts Camp Create New Mural For Einstein Montgomery

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Children at a summer arts camp at Montgomery County Community College have unveiled their work at a local hospital. The 18 foot long, 5.5 foot tall mural, which features silhouettes of each child at the camp, was installed at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery this week. "The mural turned out great," camp director and MCCC Galleries Director Patrick Rodgers said in a statement. "The kids were asked to do something fairly complicated. They did a great job. It was a nice effort by everybody pitch in and paint the silhouettes." >>How To Win Free Six Flags Great Adventure Season Passes The mural is located in the lobby of the Minerva D. Braemer Medical Arts Building at Einstein. It's part of a unique collaboration featuring student art between the hospital, the college, the Greater Norristown Art League, and Variety Children's Charity. The gallery will be in place from July 31 to Nov. 10. The camp, named the "Amazing Arts Race" and inspired by the CBS show, allowed students to work on projects inspired by sites all around the world.
