ELMHURST, IL — In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a Sky Zone fight, an airsoft shooting, a stolen ring, a suspicious car, car burglaries and a website scam, among other things. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports: Sky Zone fight An argument took place about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sky Zone Trampoline Park, 325 W. Lake St. A person told police that a suspect grabbed him and threw him in a foam pit. The person did not suffer any injuries. The incident was reported two days later. An investigation is pending. Airsoft shooting A driver told police that an occupant of a blue Dodge Durango pointed an airsoft gun and shot it at his car at 9 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. The driver told police that the shooting damaged a rear passenger side window. Stolen ring A woman inadvertently left her ring on a changing table between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Friday at Goldfish Swim School, 614 N. Michigan St. When she returned, it was no longer there. Suspicious car A resident in the 400 block of South Spring Road told police that a suspicious vehicle pulled behind her car as she entered her house about 2 p.m. Thursday. She suspects it may have been a former neighbor following her. An officer spoke with the suspect, who denied being in the area at the time of the incident and agreed to have no contact with the resident. Violating protection order A resident in the 200 block of South Pick Avenue told police Wednesday that she received several text messages from a suspect in violation of an order of protection. An officer tried to call the suspect, but was unsuccessful. Struck with Nerf projectiles A person told police that youths took her phone and struck her with foam Nerf projectiles about 4 p.m. Friday. An officer contacted the parents of the youths and informed them of the incident. The phone was returned, and the victim's mother did not wish to sign a complaint. Police did not say where the incident occurred. Car burglaries An unlocked car was burglarized about noon July 1 in the 100 block of East Park Avenue. A wallet was removed. The owner said he found unauthorized charges on his credit cards. Someone stole a blue lunch bag from an unlocked car about 2 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at Wells Fargo Bank, 333 S. Route 83. Garage burglary A garage in the 700 block of Spring Road was burglarized overnight Friday. The person entered through an unsecured main door. Several items were out of place, but nothing appeared to be missing. Website scam A resident in the 800 block of South Hillcrest Avenue provided his Social Security number to a website claiming to be from the Illinois Secretary of State's Office about 5 p.m. Wednesday. Stolen bicycle A black and blue Trek brand bicycle was stolen about 3 p.m. Friday near Dairy Queen, 143 N. York St. It was left unlocked. Public intoxication A person was found intoxicated and unconscious on a bench about 4 p.m. Friday outside the Goodwill Store, 675 W. North Ave. Medics took him to Elmhurst Hospital. Fugitive drivers An officer tried to stop a car that was reported stolen in Cook County about 11:30 p.m. Friday at North and Berteau. The driver failed to stop and headed east on Interstate 290.An officer saw a dirt bike being driven without headlights, tail lights or a license plate shortly before midnight Thursday at Poplar and Crescent. The officer tried to stop the rider, but the rider failed to stop and left south through the pedestrian underpass at Poplar, south of Crescent. An officer tried to stop a speeding driver about 3 a.m. Saturday at North and Villa. The driver sped away, last seen heading west on North.An officer saw a car that was reported stolen in Streamwood about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Charles and Interstate 290. The car was last seen headed east on Interstate 290, approaching Mannheim Road.
