Press release from the City of Elmhurst: July 26, 2021 Elmhurst, IL - On Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 11:39 p.m. Elmhurst Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Third & Willow. Upon the arrival of police, officers discovered several shell casings in the 200 block of Willow and on Illinois street. A witness reported seeing a gray SUV in the area around the same time of the incident. Police were unable to locate any damage following the report. Police ask residents in the area to review any home video for vehicles or suspicious activity in the area of Third & Willow and Third & Illinois on Sunday night.
