Apricot is a recent rescue, having come from a very dire situation. Our non-profit group was contacted and we took her on, wanting her last time on earth to be spent in a loving home. We all love her, and the zest for life that she has continues to amaze us. She is an older cat- 15 yrs plus. Apricot is deaf, and has poor vision. She is a very petite quiet mellow gentle girl, with sweet & quirky expressions that will cause you to grin for no reason, other than the fact that she is adorable. Apricot needs someone experienced in cat care (Persian knowledge a plus) of an aged cat. She is not for the faint of heart and does require extra care that both her age and breed demand. After reading her bio, please reach out for added questions: Apricot came to us through a government agency when her human mom was going onto hospice for end of life care. Apricot had been a companion to this homeless woman for many years, and she arrived to us needing vet care and a soft place to land. She had a bad sinus infection which has since cleared up, and was in need of a full evaluation in order to best care for her. Her current foster mom has done an amazing job clearing up what could be fixed, and identifying special needs she may have. Apricot has many wonderful qualities! She has been voted "The Best Ever" at cuddles and head bonking. Purrs enthusiastically, is a soft limp Velveteen Rabbit sort who loves for you to curl up with her for a good book or movie. She will not jump or climb on or scratch anything! She must be spoiled rotten in an indoor home with someone who is mostly present and able to care for her. It does take a long time for her to eat, and her mobility is very limited. Apricot spends most of her time sleeping and she enjoys being adored and loved on.
