Death 'n' Roll, Blackened Blues

Canton OH
Description
Got the gear and the drive, but can't find a band? Tired of hearing the same stylistic choices in metal music? Not vibing with the 30 nu-metal bands masquerading as unique? Think death metal has become stale and robotic? Maybe we can help. We're a 3-Piece(drums, bass, guitar) looking to add a 4th(guitar), possibly 5th(vocals). We love death metal, but enjoy the NWOBHM and electric blues just as much. At their core our songs have a Dio or Maiden flare to them, but with an infusion of death metal and black metal elements. We're not claiming to have reinvented the wheel, but it's definitely different and stands out in today's musical climate. Our intention first and foremost is to have fun with it. We do plan to record and play shows, but aren't driven by social media based validation. We practice in full on Thursdays in Canton. We also get the strings together randomly throughout the week to work on new material or refinement. We have a good sized practice spot with professional grade equipment. We tune to drop D# 445 on 6 string guitars. (E down a half step, A-e up a half step) What we're looking for; Good attitude / optimistic perspective Willingness to learn. Showing up timely to band practice ready to play. A source of transportation. If you live close enough we may make an exception, but prefer someone who has a reliable way to and from practice. Availability. Must be free Thursday evenings from 5-10 and at least 1 other day of the week for 2-3 hours. Gear. A stable guitar that holds tune and a good sounding amp. It doesn't have to be thousands of dollars worth of gear as long as it sounds good and is reliable. We've been jamming together on and off for about 4 years. We're in our mid-20's and early 30's. We have a few finished tracks from our previous project "Mogar" which disbanded due to our previous guitar player's bout with brain cancer. https://youtu.be/TDo6utfWTn0 https://youtu.be/AMbLsP1TfwE We have live but clear recordings of all the new material on Google drive, we can send if interested.
