Student looking for a place to live

Im supposed to be starting school this fall but I wont have a place to live. No one will rent a room to an 18 year old who is also unemployed which is completely reasonable but i just need someone who can lend a helping hand. If youre renting a room i just need 2 months to look for a part time job because financial aid wont be sent out until october which covers half of my expenses. I would also be getting disability money but currently cant due to my unemployment. I live in washington right now and will be traveling to oregon for school which is why i cant start looking for a job yet. I do have a dog who is 38 pounds. She is extremely well behaved and friendly. She is fine with both dogs and cats. So yeah if anyone reads this please help.
