Auto Collision Shop Manager and Estimator

Registers Auto Collision is looking for an experienced Auto Collision Body Shop Manager and Estimator for one of our four great locations in Wilmington, Monkey Junction, Leland, and Hampstead. Job requirements for Manager: Forecasts goals and objectives for the shop and strives to meet them. Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of all body shop employees. Directs the work of all body shop employees. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business. Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for body work. Follows up on parts orders to ensure parts availability. Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair procedures are followed. Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Handles customer complaints immediately. Prepares final billing for completed repair orders. Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Provides necessary training. Ensures that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly. Monitors the maintenance of paint booths, frame straightening equipment, and other large fixed assets to ensure long-term usage and value. Attends managers meetings. Maintains professional appearance. Other tasks as assigned. Job requirements for Estimator: Writes estimates for customers seeking collision damage repairs. Works with insurance companies to ensure each estimate is approved before repairs begin. Assists manager in the supplement writing process once vehicles have been torn down. Updates customers throughout the repair process. Follows up with customers who have not scheduled repairs to answer any questions they may have to get them on the calendar. Checks in vehicles upon drop off. Assists manager when needed. Job Benefits/Compensation: Salary pay, depending on experience level Monday through Friday Base Schedule (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Job Experience/Qualification: 3+ years of auto body/collision estimating experience is preferred. 1+ year of auto body/collision estimating and/or training is required. I-Car and/or ASE Certifications are a bonus! Repair Vehicles along side all major insurance companies, and follow DRP guidelines and specifications. Job Notes: Candidates must be highly motivated, and able to work in a fast pace environment. Multi-Tasking is a MUST, and high levels of communication and interpersonal skills are required. A high knowledge of CCC Estimating Software, Audatex, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook are a bonus!
