Description

We must find a new home for our amazing cat. We are sad, but determined to find somebody who thinks she is as adorable as we know her to be. For the next year we will be traveling and living in an RV and though she travels reasonably well ( some crying, no messes) she does not like engines and change. We are pretty sure she would door dash in some random state and it would make everyone miserable. Let me tell you a little about this sweet cat. She is friendly and affectionate. She does not like other cats, and she establishes a truce of peace with friendly dogs after they gain her trust. She is a Manx – she has tufted ears and no tail, she was born that way. She has been trained to my dog's commands. She has a name, but it means nothing to her. We called her Mr Bald Dog – all the things she isn't. It was funny and it stuck. But she answers to Corky -who is our little dog. We didn't know she would train like a dog, but it happened. Here are the things she knows: * "Who wants to eat?" MBD knows this means, "We are about to get fed the special food of the day and no matter how many times I run to where the dog gets his food I will be carefully walked through and ignored until I go to my food spot." * "Let's go outside!" She hears, "Time to watch chipmunks in the ivy!" * "I'm going downstairs, come on Corky!" She hears, "I should wander towards the stairs doorway, take my time, sometimes take so much time that I have to pick at the door and yowl because they gave up on me." * "Time for bed." She hears, "Must go sleep in the bed beside dog in hallway. Guard humans for the night." * "Come get a treat!" She hears, "Run as fast as you can to the human." * "Come say good morning Corky" She hears, "It's time for patting." * "Go away while we are eating!" She hears, "Go away from the eaters to a respectful distance and do not stare. * "Let's go inside!" She hears, "Run for cover! Danger! Trip people if you must! Leave the dog behind as decoy!" Corky barks when the doorbell rings. Mr Bald Dog growls - yes cat growls, just in case he needs reinforcements. Yet she is always super friendly and affectionate. Corky is in his yard and the neighbor dogs come outside. She growls from the sunroom window view and watches until he is safe inside. She loves inside, she likes outside – if her humans are with her. MBD comes when called, dog whistled or summoned. She does not go in our bedroom, because the dog doesn't go in there -even with the door open. She does not jump on furniture, beds, counters or tables, because our dog never did. Though she has previously been assigned privileged to a certain chair and respected that honor. She's a rolly cat who tumbles on the ground in happiness to see you. She loves yoga. She carries hair ties around the house like little babies and makes a special meow for them. She is around five years old, spade and vaccinated. She is very healthy – no issues. She likes to be brushed. She will often give you a “high five” if you ask for it, but you are suppose to pat her afterwards and say, “Good job!” She has an automatic feeder that dispenses small portions of kibble through the day. The feeder sings a little song before the food drops and she recognizes the sound. This eliminated all insecurities and pestering for food. She also has a waterfall watering dish, with extra filters. Cat scratchers. A little sleeping pod and a sleeping hammock. Litter box. Cat carrier. Any extra food, litter and treats we have. She comes with everything she needs except more love. Please tell us why you are the best place for her to call home.
