I'm looking for someone to help assemble a batch of toys.
Work involves applying epoxy to small acrylic (laser-cut) parts. Gloves optional.
And then peeling the paper backing off the parts once their dry.
I'm estimating about 8-10 hours will be needed over the course of a few days to get through the initial batch.
Requirements:
Need to be fast with your hands. Ideally you've done some kind of crafting or art or jewelry production before, and take genuine joy in cranking through boring stuff. If manual work is annoying to you, please do not apply.
Need to be clever - I'm looking for someone to provide ideas / suggestions for making the process go faster. I have a 3D printer so ideally we can come up with some mechanisms that make the process less tedious. If the product sells and orders come in, we need to be prepared to 10x the production.
Need to be friendly. We'll be sitting in a room doing this for the whole time. Need to be open to my slightly non-conventional music (nothing crazy, just jazz and world music), and I will try to be open to your weird tastes.
