Description

Hi everyone....Pro Electric Bass Player here.....Available for select Sub/ Fill-in Work and Recording studio work only... Highly experienced with expansive repertoire, Willing to share my talent. Not Looking to join a band full-time...I know most of the standard fare, have a really good feel and sound....A true musician, not a hobbyist....I do however have a few details which I'd like to list up front.....just not to waste anyone's time... 1) I do not sing, but play the Electric Bass very well. 2) Ideally, I would prefer to play music written between 1960's -1990's., but can play anything from Gregorian Chants, to this weeks top song... 3) I expect to receive the agreed upon pay. 4) I play the way I play, I have a style, I can play library-delicate and quiet, to kickass/bombastic; most people like my playing, hopefully you will dig it! If not, I suppose you don"t have to hire me again. 5) A minimum of a 4 foot by 4 foot area to setup and perform in.... 6) I play with a full-bodied, vintage Fender bass sound....the necessary bass sound, appropriate for Live funk/ dance/ rock music...If you like a thin, rinky-dink bass sound, then I am probably not your guy. 7) Drummer must be excellent, be able to Keep Time, and not be afraid to hit the drums ; please NO electronic kits or light-tappers. 8) I do not roadie band equipment anymore. It has hurt my back one too many times. 9) I expect normal breaks between sets, as well as some rests between songs- no non-stop-no-break run-on sets......if you want a machine, please get a sequencer. 10) Influenced by James Jamerson, Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorious, Bernard Edwards, Verdine White, Christopher Squire, JPJ, Chuck Rainey, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Jazz, Funk, Rock, and the G.P... So, having made these points clear...I am a fun, outgoing energetic player, love to rock a gig and make the audience happy. I specialize in Dance/Funk/RB/ Soul/Rock music from the 70s. I really appreciate feel and groove players, as well as excellent vocalists with good intonation and fronting and MC skills. Let me know what you have going. I am selective in accepting gigs...but, if it is right...looking forward to working with you!
