We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to preserve the good condition and functionality of a 81 unit garden-style property in Vancouver, WA. The candidate we are looking for is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and responsible. The goal is to maintain and improve the units, buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities:
-Completing unit turns in a timely and thorough manner
-Porter property grounds on a daily basis
-Service maintenance work order requests in a timely manner
-Complete annual inspections
-Communicate with and assist in managing vendors
-Maintain general property and building condition
-Use time keeping system to clock in and out
-Use property management system (Appfolio) to manage work orders
Skills:
-Proven experience as maintenance technician
-Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, appliance repair and other systems
-Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
-Working knowledge and experience with power tools
-Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
-Customer service skills
-Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Must have a valid drivers license
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
