Green Transfer & Storage Co. is looking for an experienced forklift operator for the shipping and receiving of steel and building materials. We specialize in steel -- plate, beam, pipe, tube, ingot, coil, round bar, and fabricated. We also handle various lumber/building products and specialized machinery. Much of the material is oversized -- wide, long, tall, or combinations thereof. We operate lifts from 5000 to 52000 pound individual capacity with the majority of work done on a CAT V300 or Hyster 360 style lift. Green Transfer has 8 acres of laydown yard with 100,000 sqft of warehousing. Shipping and receiving of material via flatbed, container, flat-rack, and rail. Skills Required: Forklift certification with experience Effective communication skills across multiple modes: Radio, phone, in person, text Ability to count and verify inbound and outbound material to bill of lading Ability to perform inventory counts and spot checks Patient communication with both English and Non English speaking vendors, customers, and personnel Ability to continuously lift, push, pull 50+ pounds Ability to climb into and out of railcars Ability to stand, walk, bend for 10 hours per day Ability to work in and tolerate seasonal elements Work and Compensation: M-F / 6:00am - 3:00 pm - There is occasional weekend work $20.00/hour to start +1.00/hour at 90 days +1.00/hour at 6 months Medical and dental with subsidized dependent coverage 401K with matching PTO No Cost life Insurance Paid Holidays Ask for Tyler: 503.286.0673 x 4
