Basic duties of a General Service Technician includes installing, balancing and repairing tires in compliance with National Tire and Battery company policies, procedures and "Quality Standards". The General Service Technician also unloads, checks-in and stocks incoming tire and parts shipments and prepares tires and parts for outgoing shipments. He or she also maintains the organization of a retail store's inventory of tires and parts. The GST may drive customer's vehicles into and out of the shop area for tire installation. Our expectation is that the GST is responsible for consistently displaying the highest level of customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Meet or exceed company performance standards for quality and speed of service to our customers. • Monitor and facilitate tire service work-flow. • Preventative maintenance for all equipment. • Shop housekeeping, i.e. cleaning, painting, and physical image of shop. • Maintenance of tire shop supplies and orders. • Follow all safety practices as outlined in policy and procedures. • Provide General Service Technician training to all new hires. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum age requirement of eighteen years. • Possession of a valid motor vehicle license. • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends. • Strong customer service orientation and a high level of professional integrity. • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
