One day he started acting funny, being very fidgety. When I came home from uber driving one night on the 24th, I opened the door and he couldn’t stand up, we lifted him up to get him to stand and he walked around like he was intoxicated. We took him outside to use the bathroom, he continued stumbling, then used the restroom. He looked like he was going to sit down but ended up having a seizure. We rushed him to the emergency vet. As he started closing his eyes, the woman said they couldn’t see him or do anything for him until we paid the 200 dollars. No vitals, no nothing. He laid in Nico’s arms, passing out, in pain, and still no one helped as we sat there crying. I called everyone I knew and so did Nico, Nico’s mom ended up sending us 200 then later on that night to do more tests, we had to come up with 38 more dollars and that was just to do the minimum of testing, max was another 200. They told us they needed to hospitalize him because even though the minimum of tests didn’t show anything, they said he was very disoriented and confused which goes to show that there’s something neurologically wrong with him. That he needs to see a neurologist and be hospitalized to keep an eye on him. We are in a financial hardship and this is our furbaby, our child. We never like asking for help, but this time we do. Anything will help.
