Immigration is as simple as supply and demand. When there are no more job opportunities in the U.S., people will stop migrating here. Immigrants seek opportunities. It is that simple. Our immigration laws were written nearly a century ago. They are antiquated. They need to be updated. All immigrants seeking entry to the U.S. must be vetted for criminal activity. All workers in America (documented or not) need to pay income taxes. If you do not want immigrants to enter this nation, you better start teaching your children to wash dishes, mow lawns, and set tile for a living. America directs our youth to avoid these jobs. We teach our kids to seek better opportunities. This is great. But we need workers to fill these jobs. If immigrants are willing to do it, it is a win for all of us. note; immigrants are NOT the ones exploiting our unemployment system or extended covid benefits. Americans are the ones doing that. Immigrants are filling the voids.
