To learn about our team, visit us at: www.americanmaterials.com. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a qualified Concrete Batch Plant Operator to join our innovative operations team! The Concrete Batch Plant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the plant equipment to produce concrete into our mixer trucks to be delivered to customers. In addition, this position adheres to safety and environmental rules while ensuring the timely deliveries of top-quality products and service. This is a full time seasonal position located in Eau Claire, WI, working Monday through Friday and some Saturday’s. Additional Responsibilities: - Batch concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications - Work with dispatch to understand order details required for production of materials. - Conduct batching operations safely and efficiently while complying with all local, state and federal regulations - Follow all applicable environmental and air quality regulations - Responsible for efficient working condition of plant equipment and grasp a firm knowledge on plant functions and automation - Perform maintenance to batch plant which includes greasing, sweeping, shoveling, performing equipment repairs, and general housekeeping of the facility and property - Be able to fill other company roles as necessary such as dispatching, operate wheel loader, and aggregate scale ticketing. - Maintain time and material records - Ability to understand appropriate uses of various mix designs - Ability to perform standard concrete quality control tests and calculations QUALIFICATIONS - Previous work experience is preferred, not required - Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Must be organized and able to multi-task - Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office - Problem solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills - Employee management skills - Safety focused - Must be able to climb man ladder, lift over 50 pounds, and work in hot/cold environments - Pass a physical and a drug/alcohol test - Must be able to stand, bend, squat and sit for periods of time - Must be able to interpret verbal (in person and over the phone) and written instruction BENEFITS - Competitive compensation - The Company contributes toward the following benefits – your contributions are made on a pre-tax basis: - Medical benefits – employees can choose a traditional PPO plan with a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or a high deductible health plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA) - Dental benefits, including orthodontia for children - Dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Our retirement plan offers the opportunity for employees to make pre-tax and/or Roth 401(k) contributions, as well as employer profit sharing & match - The Company provides the following benefits at no cost to you: - Group term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) - Disability insurance, including paid sick leave, short term disability and long term disability - Paid vacation – pro-rated vacation is available immediately - Paid holidays EOE, including disability/vets
