POSITION SUMMARY: Alpha Inc. is seeking a Fuel / Lube Truck Driver and Technician who will be responsible for preventative maintenance service, fueling, lubricating and performing PM shifts on heavy construction equipment fleet in the field for Alpha Inc. This position will perform essential functions that aid in overall equipment functionality, efficiency, and establish and maintains effective communication with fellow employees and managers. This position is able to work PM hours of operation: Monday – Friday (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for driving to different sites daily to refuel, grease and maintain equipment. • Inspect and perform periodic maintenance. • Perform oil changes on heavy equipment and light vehicles. • Grease machines daily. • Fuel machines daily. • Able to perform minor repairs (ex: replace hoses and filters, etc.) • Maintain fuel/lube truck and all products carried on truck. • Comply with ALL D.O.T. rules and regulations. • Keep truck clean and operational at all times. • Assist mechanics with daily jobs. • Help keep yard as clean and neat as possible. • Maintain and complete all necessary reports legibly and in a timely manner for daily service reports, work order closure, daily log sheets and timesheets. • Communicate progress of repair with direct supervisor as required. • Use company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cards, etc. properly and notify direct manager of any issues with the vehicle. • Able to work PM hours of operation: Monday – Friday (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) • Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or GED required. • Minimum two (2) years of CDL driving experience required. • Minimum two (2) years mechanical experience preferred. LICENSE: • Class A CDL required. • Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) endorsement required. • Tanker endorsement required. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Must have a clean driving record. • Must be able to physically lift and carry 50 lbs. • Must be able to climb on, off, and under various pieces of equipment, and physically access all parts of equipment to perform job requirements. • Dependability – Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, and meets attendance/punctuality requirements. • Problem Solving – Breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts, make decisions and develop solutions. • Time Management – Ability to organize and plan how to use one’s time effectively and efficiently. • Attention to Detail – Thoroughness in accomplishing tasks, being careful about details. • Communication – Communicates well both verbally and in writing in order to convey information effectively and efficiently, shares information and ideas with others and has good listening skills. • Integrity/Ethics – Deals with others in a straightforward, respectful, ethical and honest manner, is accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality and supports company values. • Drive for Result – Targets and achieves results in a consistent manner, sets challenging goals, prioritizes tasks, overcomes obstacles, pushes self and others for results, accepts accountability. • Safety Focus – Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards and practices.
