Bradford Shawsheen Coating Technologies, Inc. (BSCT) seeks a driven Compound Specialist to join their production team in Lowell, MA. As a Compound Specialist, you will mix various components together for specialized applications which will be applied at a fabric coating line.   RESPONSIBILITIES *Set up and take down equipment.  *Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures *Report all accidents, incidents, safety violations, malfunctions, near misses or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.  *Wear appropriate PPE at all times. *Work closely with chemicals, pumps, tankers, chemical drums, filters, and mixing equipment. *Assist with color design and sample preparation of PVD and polyethylene products. *Take direction from the foremen on job set-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns. *Daily inventory of raw material for the purpose of calling materials from the warehouse.  *Other duties as assigned. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position working 4 am – 4 pm Monday – Thursday (40 hours regular pay and 8 hours OT pay). COMPENSATION: Starting wage is $17 per hour (effective rate is $18.41 per hour for 48 hours of work over a 1 week period). QUALIFICATIONS *High school diploma or equivalent preferred (or equivalent related experience). *Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, lift and/or carry weight up to 50 pounds required. *Willingness to work 12-hour shifts. *Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and visual aids. *Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment. *Basic math and computer skills.
