Description

August 28th- The David Mayfield Parade & The Henhouse Prowlers will be "Pickin' in the Podunk"- Bluegrass on the Bronson Green! Oh... we will be having some fun on August 28th as we welcome The David Mayfield Parade and the The Henhouse Prowlers to do some Bluegrass "Pickin in the Podunk" on the Bronson Church Green. This is a great double bill, with two bands that know their way around hollow body instruments! Bluegrass fans in N.E. Ohio know well the talents of the David Mayfield Parade, a traditional bluegrass band with memorable instrumentation, incredible 3 and 4 part harmonies and a strong mix of classic and original bluegrass tunes. Add to that, The Henhouse Prowlers, founded 17 years ago in Chicago, with the simple desire to play original and powerful bluegrass. On stage, the group's performances give audiences a sense of how much they love what they do. You won't want to miss it! We plan to make a fun day of it with food vendors and refreshments provided by the G.A.R. Hall. Gates open at 3:30pm/ Music starts at 4pm This is a rain or shine event. If the weather turns rainy, we will move inside the G.A.R. Hall The Peninsula Foundation was formed in 1997 by the late Robert L.
