Join Color Coded Labs (CCL), Central Ohio Tech & Innovation Collaborative (COTIC), Lourdes Barroso de Padilla and Nick Bankston for a very special evening of Casual Conversations. These conversations will be facilitated by Trav Dave, of What We Talkin Bout and hosted at the ALL-NEW Venture Suite, located at 780 Mt. Vernon Ave. So, WHAT WE TALKIN BOUT??? We talkin bout TECH & COMMUNITY!!! Come and check out this in-person, back to back Fireside Chat kicked off with Lourdes and Nick, followed by a robust conversation regarding technology, COTIC and the efforts of some amazing local leaders in our community, working to address the lack of diverse representation and support of Black and Latino business owners and technologist. This is a Casual, yet important Conversation that you don’t want to miss in one of Columbus’ hottest and newest co-working/event spaces. About Color Coded Labs: Color Coded Labs is an HBCU style tech boot camp designed to start a culture shift in the tech industry. Their mission is to empower black and brown people to skill up in a tech boot camp built for them and connect graduates to innovative companies dedicated to diversity. Color Coded Labs launched their first cohort in June, 2021 and is currently seeking candidates for the second cohort. Ideal candidates want to learn how to code and be Skilled, Upskilled or Reskilled in Java Script, Full Stack Development. Visit www.colorcodedlabs.com for more information. About COTIC: The Central Ohio Tech & Innovation Collaborative (COTIC) is comprised of twelve local Black and Brown entrepreneurial support organizations. COTIC was established to increase the number of technology and technology-enabled business owners, close wealth gaps and create jobs in underinvested Central Ohio communities of color. COTIC will be a convener, advocacy and research hub. They will be conducting a survey and in-person break-out session after the Fireside Chats to capture critical information needed to address the disparities that currently exist with black and brown owned businesses. Black and Brown business owners, please complete this survey in advance of the event. You do not have to attend the event to participate in the survey completion. COTIC groups represent the African American, Latinx and African immigrant communities. Members are organizations and individuals: Black Tech Columbus, ColumbusBlack, Venture Suite, Zora’s House, The Women’s Center for Economic Opportunity (WCEO), Welcoming City/US Together Inc., Senior African American Leaders in Technology (SAALT), Crane R&D, Demetrius Robinson, Hanad Duale, FlowCode, and Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center.
