Boston Marathon Fundraiser

Grabbing drinks and food after work with 20% of total sales being donated to my fundraising efforts! Upon graduation last fall, I began my career at Moderna as a Process Scaling Engineer 1 contractor in Preclinical Production on the Custom team. My day to day responsibilities included taking custom approaches to orders that were failing in the automated high throughput train. Since then, I joined as a full time employee in January and have maintained the same responsibilities with the addition of projects and troubleshooting. I very much enjoy working here and am excited about my future with the company. The culture and the people here also excite me! Outside of work, one thing I do is volunteer twice a week at 826 Boston (https://826boston.org/), a non-profit organization located in Roxbury’s Egleston Square, which focuses on assisting underserved students aged 6-18 with developing the fundamental communication skills critical for their future success. In my role as a math and science tutor, I am engaging with young people beyond just getting their homework completed, or studying for a test; I share my excitement about my career path in hopes of raising their awareness and encouraging their interest in STEM fields! The 2020 Boston Marathon was cancelled for the first time in history due to COVID-19. The return of the world’s longest running annual marathon in 2021, with the reduced field size and modified protocols will be historic in and of itself. I’m so excited to be participating in the 2021 Boston Marathon! The fundraising from my run will go 100% to support 826 Boston with resources and educational tools for over 4000 underserved children in Boston public schools. I am so grateful and so proud of my time at Moderna over the last year, and so excited about my future here.Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and sharing my excitement about the 2021 Boston Marathon!
