SCCO PRESENTS: Sounds of Jewish Culture Klezmer band Big Galut(e) and Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra celebrate Jewish culture and music! Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra (SCCO) Presents: "Sounds of Jewish Culture" August 28 & 29, 2021 Klezmer band Big Galut(e) and Sullivan County Chamber Orchestra celebrate Jewish culture and music! Three public performances will be presented throughout the weekend at the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre (HPAC) in Hurleyville, NY and at the Monticello High School (MHS) Hughes Auditorium in Monticello, NY. Family Concert: Saturday, August 28, 4:30pm at HPAC: Big Galut(e) Family Concert including a side-by-side performance with students in the Nesin Cultural Arts Summer Arts Academy workshops. Part 1: Saturday, August 28, 9:30pm at MHS Hughes Auditorium: An interactive concert by Big Galut(e) that is sure to have the audience clapping and dancing the night away! Part 2: Sunday, August 29, 3:00pm at HPAC: SCCO Chamber Music Concert featuring music written by Jewish composers persecuted during the Holocaust and oppressed by the Nazi regime.
