Description

Hi there! I am a trained soprano who currently sings for a group that gigs about 3-4 times/month but I’m looking to start an additional project that is a little more upbeat and gets people vibin’/up on their feet. Maybe like a wedding and events band? I’m thinking mostly 80s/90s ladies….Heart, Benetar, Cyndi Lauper, Donna Summer, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Annie Lennox, Whitney Houston (if I can pull that off) Ace of Base, Shania Twain, No Doubt… I don’t know, my taste is all over the place so I’m open to ideas as well but I’m shooting for nostalgic upbeat songs targeted to other gen x and millennials like myself lol. Also, if there is a male musician that can take some of the lead singing we could do some Toto, Starship, Hall and Oates and Phil Collins thrown in there too and I’ll do back up. So I guess I’m looking for guitar, Bass, and drums at a minimum, keys would be awesome too. I am learning to play keys and can only play really basic stuff right now while singing. Super big plus if you can play and do back up singing and take some lead here and there. I’m willing to commute for the right situation. My house is an option for day time rehearsals and possibly weekends too. Ideally I’d like to find musicians with their own PA system and pro equipment so we aren’t starting from scratch. I only have a mic and voice processor. Drinking in moderation and 420 friendly. I do have some potential leads for gigs once we get going and I’ve managed to keep my current group pretty booked thus far so looking for musicians that would like to gig a few times a month. This would probably not be a huge money maker depending on the number of musicians so this would be a side hustle/hobby type of thing at least to start. Everything we make including tips would be split evenly. Who wants in?
