A celebration to honor the memory of Sherika Willis-Kimble. Registration is FREE. Scholarship Donations Appreciated. Join us as we gather at MLK Park to celebrate and walk to honor the memory of Sherika Willis-Kimble. Friday, August 6th was the original day the Lighthouse Women’s Residence at BestSelf was planning an open house to say goodbye to Sherika who was relocating to Oklahoma. We are now dedicating that day to the memory of Sherika who left us too soon. Registration is FREE but we are accepting donations that will be used to establish a scholarship fund to provide financial support for a black woman who is pursuing a higher education degree. Sherika Kimble-Willis was the Program Director of the Lighthouse Women’s Residence who tragically passed away on June 17, 2021. Sherika joined BestSelf in June 2010 as a Lighthouse Resident Support Staff and worked her way through several positions to become Program Director. She was working towards her Master’s degree in Social Work. Sherika was a wonderful wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend and coworker who will be missed by many.
