Description
Not quite Progressive Rock. Just thoughtfully composed, creative, artistic, intelligent, melodic and good Rock; if that describes sound?
We are in our mid 50's, but don't care about age unless you do.
We would also entertain keys and a singer/lyricist, but bass first.
We prefer the smooth and warm bass techniques of hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, and harmonics; but show us what you got. We are very open-minded to anything creative/original. We also prefer the musically educated, but if you're willing to learn; free music lessons as we go so win/win. Also fellow songwriter, singer, and desire to collaborate is very much encouraged.
We like the typical good 70's Rock we grew up with: Rush, Zep, Yes, UFO etc., etc., and much newer music as well. All Rock-based genres or fusion. Music by good musicians is another way to say it. Since we're new we're Indie. It's the era in which we live. We don't want to sound like other bands despite enjoying listening to records of other bands. We want to sound like us. I don't define what we play at all, because it's my own discovery and expression based on decades of study, practice, and composing. We play "music" with electric guitars, bass, keys, drums. That's how I've come to describe it.
I hope that answers your questions? Weekends are best for most, though I play everyday. We start about noon or so.
Jam ONCE (no pre-commitment) and decide if to continue playing as a band.
Whatever you do have fun.
