Planning a getaway to Germany? Des Moines European Heritage Association invites you to explore the German culture during this 6-week course for adults (starting Tuesday, September 14, 2021). During each 90-minute session, you will have the opportunity to learn language for everyday travel and explore the culture.
Goal: Learn introductory German for traveling in a German speaking country.
Students will be able to communicate basic travel concepts in German. These include: -German speaking countries in Europe/areas of German -Food and restaurants -Shopping -Travel – airplanes, hotels, etc.
Students will learn about German culture, such as: -German festivals -German lands
We will meet at the Grand View University. You may park in the parking lot directly south of the Student Center (Y on the map). Click here for a campus map.

About the instructor: Ann started learning German in high school, then moved to other languages before realizing how much she missed German. After returning to the study of German, Ann studied abroad in southern Germany and Austria before earning her Master’s in German at Bowling Green State University. Now, she looks forward to helping you learn German!
