Big Tree, Inc a full-service commercial landscape construction company located in Fort Myers, FL has an immediate opening for an Irrigation Technician. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of existing irrigation. Duties/Responsibilities: • Maintain, inspect, and repair existing client irrigation systems • Troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine materials and supplies required for repair • Conduct monthly wet checks on Big Tree maintenance properties • Routinely inspect irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly • Completing wet check reports and associated paperwork • Communicate with homeowners and property managers to explain needed repairs and associated cost Requirements: • Commercial irrigation technician experience preferred • Competent verbal and written communication skills in English – Bilingual Spanish • Ability to create and read site maps and colored charts/legends • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Very strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage changing priorities and work independently • A dedication to learning and improving company standards, procedures, and goals • Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions typical to Southwest Florida (i.e., heat, rain, high humidity) • Possess pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job • Valid Florida driver’s license
