A lovely candle-lit dinner with entertainment and community in celebration of our first year of transforming homelessness in Santa Cruz We did it, and we want to celebrate with you. It's been 3 years since we first delivered our portable storage program to a city parking lot. Since then, we've built an authentic homeless services center that is a model of efficiency and effectiveness. We've served 1,000 individual clients with storage services, washed 5,000 loads of laundry, and have offered 3,000 showers. We've given thousands of blankets, tons of clothing and hygiene items to those in need. This has transformed the experience of homelessness for many hundreds of people and has improved life for us all. This herculean task couldn't have been done without a growing community of support. Celebrate this milestone and help usher us into a future in which we're hosting a women's shelter, building modular tiny houses and shepherding several homeless encampments. This will also be our 8th year of Warming Center Program. A candle-lit dinner and entertainment The night's menu will feature a large buffet of catered and homemade delights for all tastes. We're going all out for this one. This year we're taking things up a notch. It's been our long-standing tradition to offer an exquisite dining experience with inspired entertainment. Since we have the entire facility property to utilize, we're transforming it into a lavish setting for a celebration befitting this monumental moment and our beautiful community. Our beloved Wireless Lovebird will be playing improvised classical piano with an added twist. We really want you here for this one, it's going to be special. Neither Warming Center Program nor Day & Night Storage Program receive government funding for our work in Santa Cruz. Warming Center Program (501c3 nonprofit) creates and operates low cost, highly effective programs to meet basic needs experienced by people who sleep outside.   Day & Night Storage Program is revolutionizing the experience of homelessness for all Santa Cruz citizens.
