Raising Awareness for the cause of Sickle Cell Anemia. Living with sickle cell disease is challenging, but finding someone who fully understands the nuances of this disease is a relief for the individual living with the condition and for the families caring for someone with the disease. So, it is with great pride that we honor these individuals for their dedication and compassion and what they do to enhance their quality of life. An Evening of Awareness allows the foundation to say "thank you." It offers the recipients the opportunity to discuss their academic and career aspirations and share their journey regarding sickle cell anemia. This year's partnership also honors individuals who are "sickle warriors" and their families supporting them. In addition, The Jeremiah Henry Kendrick Memorial Foundation and Nfinity International, LLC, acknowledge and express gratitude for the partnerships and collaborative efforts of other community-based nonprofit and civic organizations that commit to assist those affected with sickle cell disease. The annual fundraiser is one of two fundraisers that supports the organization's scholarship and outreach programs and defray some operating expenses. The elegant event unites physicians, patients and their families, patrons, and supporters for an entertaining evening with a keynote speaker, musical entertainment, dinner, and networking opportunity.
