Opperman & Son in Healdsburg for 50 plus years! Specializing in heavy duty truck sales, parts, and service. We are currently accepting applications for a Parts Delivery Driver / Material Handler to deliver parts to Lake, Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma county locations using our Ford F150 truck. The Parts Driver reports directly to the New Parts Manager with the primary responsibility of delivering parts to customers. This person must be able to consistently communicate with customers and coworkers, in person and over the phone, in a professional and courteous manner. To apply please respond to this ad with a copy of your resume. Duties include but not limited to: Pick parts for delivery and prepare outgoing deliveries. Deliver parts in a timely fashion based on the pre-determined route. Keep accurate and timely paperwork as required. Notify New Parts Manager of any issues immediately when delivering parts. Complete mileage log and turn into Parts Department Manager daily. Maintain vehicle maintenance log which includes vehicle safety check Maintain all delivery vehicles to be clean of all trash and presentable at all times. No smoking allowed vehicle. Timely notification to management of any issues with delivery vehicles. Clean, revise, and update parts displays as directed. Assist warehouse / shipping personnel with checking in freight. Assist with regular part inventory (cycle and full physical counts). Attend group training sessions as required. Education: High School diploma or GED Language Skills: English required Spanish preferred Qualifications: Valid drivers license with a clean driving history Dealership or parts experience preferred Must be at least 18. Computer Skills: Basic M/S Office skills Internet skills Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid CA Class C Driver's License (with a clean DMV report) Work Requirements: Have a neat and professional appearance as determined by the Parts Department Manager. A professional and positive attitude that is supportive of coworkers and Company. Ability to comprehend quickly and respond using sound judgment and rationality. Adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials Repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with the use of stool a Able to lift up to 100 pounds. Able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles.
