60s garage revival, psychedelic rock

Description
I will be moving back to the East Bay this November or December. I'm looking to start a 60s garage revival style band. Fuzzy guitars and bass, electric organ, high energy drumming; plenty of reverb! I play bass and can possibly do vocals. I also play keys and drums and write music. I've been recording covers and ideas where I play all the instruments, even doing additional lead tracks with the higher range of my 6 string bass. The main idea is to find other musicians and artists who love this style of music. Then, chops and abilities come next. NOT looking to make this sound heavy and modern like (and I love these bands, dont get me wrong...) King Gizzard or Acid Mother's Temple, but old school like The Seeds, The Magic Mushrooms, Bohemian Vendetta, etc. Looking to do some good pop songs with the right amount of cheese, and some darker more experimental acid rock jams as well. As far as mainstream 60s influences go.... early Santana, The Doors, early Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, early Grateful Dead. Not really looking to cover these bands or play too close to that style, though. For good garage/psych nugget ideas... check out some of these songs... You Make Me Fly by the Flower Power Lady Margaret by Capes of Good Hope Close Your Mind by the East Side Kids Come Back June by Pussy Colours by Kaleidoscope True, old, obscure style garage rock! Who's down?? There's also a band that existed around NorCal about a decade ago called Brightblack Morning Light. Psychedelic, experimental, indie rock shoe gaze style... but they sort of had their own sound and thing going; simple, stoned out, blues vamps. If anyone remembers this group and wants to cover them and make songs like this as well, definitely hit me up! I am open to all kinds of people and mostly all ages (though 40 or younger would be good; I'm 34) just as long as you really love this kind of music. I'd like to start out slow and get some ideas going, and become friends, without rushing to get stuff together... ultimately I want to tour and record and dedicate my life to the music, so please don't be tied down with children, or uncertainties about what you want! :D Let's bring the old 60s acid vibes back to the bay area, and let's help re-spark a much needed art and psychedelic renaissance! I will not have a practice space available when I move back, but would be down to chip in on renting one.
