* RSVP and Pre-Registration REQUIRED* Madame X Academy () is hosting a *free* bee-themed class as part of a one-time only pilot program. - We’ll briefly discuss the African-American scientist, Charles Henry Turner (1867-1923), and his contributions to honey bee research. Learn about bees and see a live queen bee in an observation box (not to be confused with THE REAL Queen B, Beyonce!) - We'll host a Covid-safe honey tasting to discuss the wide variety of characteristics and tasting notes of the honey based on the flower and plant nectar collected by the bees. The kids will be surprised by how different each sample tastes! - Our Madame X’ers will manually take the wax capping off of the honeycombs, gathered earlier that morning, to prepare the frame for honey extraction -The girls will harvest the local honey by hand-cranking an extractor For more information and to RSVP/Register here: ***Class size is small and space is very limited***
