Gunner Tire Shop (formally NW Auto Recyclers) is seeking a full-time tire technician. Experience in the tire and wheel industry is required. This position will include Saturday’s and will require you to lift up to 50lbs consistently and be in the elements rain or shine. There is always work do be done at our tire shop so a good work ethic with a “get it done” attitude is a must. Job Requirements: • Knowledge of tire sizing, ply rating and tire safety • Knowledge of bolt patterns • Attention to detail and observation of your surroundings • Ability to work alone and with others • Ability to work without needing a lot of instruction or help • Ability to complete key task each day between customer flow • Be able to perform physical labor your entire shift The job consists of: • Classifying used tires and wheels as "good" or "bad" and sorting accordingly • Answering customer questions in person and over the phone • Assisting customers to find the right wheel/tire size they need or coming up with an alternative size if we do not have what they are looking for • Mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotating, and installing wheels and tires • Ringing up customers at the register We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking with a good attitude and who works well alone as well as in a group.
