Description
Moving out of state and wanting to find a wonderful home for our beautiful sweet old lame horse Sapphire. We have tried everywhere and are trying to avoid having her euthanized tonight as suggested by many rescues and even out vet.
She is the sweetest companion animal. Though trained for riding long ago she has recovered from a foot injury that has left her 'lame' and limping. She used to be on Butte, but since weaning her the limp has been more noticeable.
can NOT be ridden, she would be in too much pain.
But she LOVES attention, brushing, petting, eating out of your hand and just being pampered.
Approx 25 years old according to the vet. Receives regular care and is in great health otherwise.
Rehoming fee of $200 or free to the right home because she must go to someone that will take extra good care of her since she can't go to Florida with us. Chances are we will even have grain/food etc. That can go with her.
Serious inquiries only. We would want reassurance that you are a long term home for her and we would want to make a home visit and receive random updates on how she is doing. Proving that she wasnt taken to slaughter.
All rescues we have contacted to find a new home for her have told us to put her down instead.. we have an appt with the vet tonight to do so, but I wanted to try one more time to find her a home since we believe she deserves to live out her life.
