Gaithersburg Woman's Body Found In Catoctin Mountain Park

GAITHERSBURG, MD — The body of 21-year-old Joanna Michelle Amaya, a Gaithersburg resident, was found in Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, MD, last week, the FBI said. Hikers found Amaya's body off a trail in the park. A cause of death has not yet been determined, the FBI said. The body Joanna Michelle Amaya, 21, was found in Catoctin Mountain Park. There was also a Puma handbag and a set of keys with an El Salvador keychain.
