ASHBURN, VA — Two intoxicated men were arrested for assault at separate bars early Sunday morning in Ashburn where one of the men headbutted a deputy who was trying to place him under arrest, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived at Finnegan's Grill & Irish Pub in Ashburn Village Center shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, the deputies located Aric S. Johnson, 32, of Ashburn who had assaulted a patron, according to the sheriff's office. Johnson refused to provide information to the deputies. As they were placing him under arrest, he headbutted one of the deputies, according to the sheriff's office. Johnson was charged with assault on law enforcement, obstructing justice, disorderly conduct and intoxication in public. He was taken to the Loudoun County jail where he was being held pending a bond review. In the other arrest of an intoxicated bar patron, deputies arrived at the World of Beer establishment in the One Loudoun area where a man was causing a disturbance. Ronald J. Claar, 31, of Sterling had forced his way into the World of Beer after being told to leave by employees, the sheriff's office said. Claar "resisted deputies who were trying to assist him," the sheriff's department said Monday in their daily incident report. Claar was charged with intoxication in public, obstructing justice, disorderly conduct and trespassing. He was taken to the Loudoun County jail where he was released on a $2,500 bond.
