A jury project on July 31, 2021, 8:30-5:00 p.m. at a conference facility near I-25 and 120th Ave. in Thornton. Project limited to participants who reside in Adams County. Participants will watch and evaluate witness testimony (on video) and see other evidence from both sides concerning a real case, and then reach a unanimous decision that will have real consequences. A continental breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Free parking. Those selected to participate in the jury research project will be paid $200 at the end of the focus group. Virtually everyone who has participated in these projects reports them to be extremely interesting, enjoyable, and worthwhile. You need no qualifications or expertise other than the ability to listen to both sides of a dispute and the willingness to be as fair as possible. You have to be able to read and write without assistance. We hope you can join us to evaluate and pass judgment on a very important case. Participants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement, and a Covid waiver (similar to a recreational liability waiver on the back of a ski pass. Non-vaccinated participants must wear a compliant mask (it's the times we're living in).
