Description
PLAINFIELD, IL — As unfortunate as it might be that the upcoming school year is about a month out and that summer doesn't last forever, it also means there's time left to enjoy the hot days and free time. To celebrate the "tail" end of summer, the Plainfield Park District is hosting a dog-centered photo contest in August.
That means you might see lots of dog pictures on social media in the upcoming weeks. To enter the "Dog Days of Summer" photo contest, contestants should take a picture of their dog at one of the park district's dog parks and post it to social media using the hashtag #PPDpets between Aug. 1 through Aug. 31.
Park district dog park locations include:
Clow Stephens, 16650 S. Lily Cache RoadVan Horn Woods East, 17200 S. Frontage RoadDaisy Dog Park, 13214 S. Blakely Drive (on 135th St. approximately ½ mile west of Route 30.) Organizers at the park district will pick the most "pawesome" photos, and whoever took them will receive dog-themed prizes. Winners will be notified through social media or provided email addresses.
Submissions can also be emailed to [email protected], and physical prints can also be dropped off in the lobby of the Rec/Admin center, at 23729 W. Ottawa St. The name of the pet and owner, along with a phone number, email and address, should be included on the back.
