PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia man accused of leading a drug trafficking organization has been taken into custody, according to federal authorities. Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced said Glen Long, aka "Bless," 27, of Philadelphia, was charged in March with one count of conspiring to distribute crystal methamphetamine and heroin. He is accused of leading the organization in Philadelphia and South Jersey. DEA special agents and task force officers conducted a months-long investigation of a drug trafficking organization led by Long, according to documents filed in the case and statements made in court. During the investigation, the DEA used undercover agents, consensual recordings, controlled drug purchases, electronic surveillance, search warrants, and several court-authorized wiretaps, authorities said. They determined that Law oversaw the organization, directing its members to distribute large quantities of various types of drugs to others, authorities said. Long is one of 14 people in total who have been charged for their roles in the organization, authorities said. They each face between 10 years and life in prison and a $10 million fine if convicted on charges of conspiracy, authorities said. Long also faces separate drug charges in an indictment pending in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, for which he was has been ordered to be detained pending trial, authorities said.
