Bagel Booth Needs Help at Weekend Farmers Markets

Help us sell fresh baked bagels, spreads & sandwiches at the One Loudoun farmers' market on Saturday mornings from 8:30 – 1:30. We need individuals who can fill simple orders (half-dozen, dozen), make sandwiches, or take orders and process cash or credit card transactions. The markets are rain or shine, so we all get up early on the weekend and work outside (under a canopy) even on days when the weather is not so great. This is a fast-paced sales environment. We regularly have a long line of enthusiastic customers. You must be comfortable working at a busy pace while maintaining a positive demeanor. If this describes you, then we are willing to provide training, even if you lack experience. If you are dependable and know how to hustle, we want you on the team and can be flexible with your shifts. We have a strong preference for applicants who are outgoing and enjoy interacting with the public. This a part-time opportunity offering $12.50 per hour for the first month (or first 4 markets, whichever comes first) with an increase to $14.00 per hour afterwards. Everyone working the booth is tip eligible and cash tips are distributed at the end of each market. An employee discount is available along with breakfast or lunch at the market. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and reliable transportation is required.
