Chabad Hebrew School Will Bring Jewish Pride, Excellence in Education Arlington Heights, IL — As we look forward to the upcoming school year, The Chabad Jewish Center of Arlington Heights is betting big on the Jewish community’s continued growth as they open registration for an expanded in-person Hebrew School. The Chabad Hebrew School offers a stimulating, hands-on, fun and happy environment where children embrace their Jewish roots and gain a true sense of Jewish pride, no matter their level of observance or affiliation. The Hebrew School is entering its second year and provides an academic and enjoyable environment where children acquire a broad knowledge of Judaism through exploration and stimulating curriculums. Through Hebrew reading, writing, Jewish history, Mitzvot, Israel, holidays and more, the students gain an appreciation for the joys, values and traditions of Jewish heritage as it is vividly brought to life by the dedicated and enthusiastic teachers whose creativity and dynamism make every lesson a unique learning experience. “It’s crucial to instill our children with Jewish pride while they are young, because how they feel about their heritage is going to really determine what they do as adults with Judaism,” said Chaikie Kotlarsky, director of the school. “If they have a positive, loving, warm, fun experience, they’re going to want to remain engaged Jewishly. For many, this program will offer a first taste of Jewish learning in a creative, joyful, hands-on and interesting way.” “The hands-on learning style encourages the children to be active rather than passive learners. Our underlying approach is for the children to enjoy the time spent at Hebrew School so that they are left with positive experiences and a greater appreciation for Jewish education and Jewish life”. The program is thus carefully blended with games, incentives, crafts, dramatics, family celebrations and other exciting extracurricular activities. The school welcomes every Jew, regardless of religious background or level of observance. This school does not require membership as a condition for enrollment. Hebrew takes place on Sunday mornings from 10-12 pm. This year we will serve children grades K-7. Registration for Chabad Hebrew School, is now open for the upcoming year of 2021 – 22.
