BIRMINGHAM, AL — The head of a prominent Hispanic advocacy organization in Birmingham is stepping down. Isabel Rubio, founder of the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama, will leave the nonprofit organization at the end of the year, according to the Alabama News Network.
Rubio will be replaced by chief operating officer Carlos Aleman, who has been with the organization for three years.
