Bass player looking for progressive/psychedelic metal bandmates

Hey all, I’m a late 20’s long haired dude who wants to branch out from my original rock/jam/funk band into something heavier, progressive, psychedelic, noise, metal type shit. Not screamo, not death metal.. Think Rage against the machine, King Gizzards Infest the Rats nest, Metallica, System of a Down, Black midi, lots of other shit like that. I’d play bass but I have guitar chops, vocals, and song writing chops, music theory background, professional equipment. Preferably a couple guitars, drums, maybe keys. This is a super explorative post, and a long shot, but maybe there are some people who will resonate with this. I want it to be high energy, with distinct leftist lyrics. No pure screamo or death metal, just some psychedelic proggy heavy rock. Huge emphasis on being leftist, and want to get your angst out through music.. that’s sorta where I’m at. If this hits home for you, send me a message. At the very least we could be friends and try to get the right people together for it. I just moved to Cleveland as well. Do not have my own space for drums but have the money to rent a space if the right opportunity arises. We’d start with learning a couple of covers and jamming out and then go from there. - JJ
