Do you prefer Outside over Inside? Do you prefer Dogs over people? If so this may be the right job for you!!! We are looking for a friendly, hard working, punctual, self-starters, for work as a kennel assistant. We are looking for someone who has at least a basic understanding of canine behavior, who has a desire to work with dogs and is looking for a long-term position. You don't have the experience but you do have the desire?? We are willing to train the right person. Duties include; walking dogs in groups, poop scooping, cleaning, feeding, washing dishes, laundry, mowing, filling holes, pulling blackberries etc. We need someone who is flexible and dependable. Must have reliable transportation, as we are located in east Vancouver and not on the bus line. Our insurance also requires you to be 18+ yrs. We are a NON-Smoking facility and are committed to being environmentally friendly. This is an Inside/ Outside position on 5 acres with trees and grass. It takes a lot of work and cleaning to keep the kennel running properly, you must be able to multi-task, have a great attention to detail, and be able to quickly adjust to changing priorities. We have a great team; we work hard but also have a lot of fun. Positive and Upbeat is a must. We are looking for someone who can work 3-5 shifts a week (24-40 hours) and is available from 6am-9:00pm. This position will rotate through all shifts, including weekends/evenings.
