Hello San Joaquin County Residents. I am here to talk to you about 2 problems in out community that need your help. One is our need for good, affordable housing. Another is our need for youthful / family friendly sports events. While we need to address our local housing crisis, to do so at the expense of losing our Fairgrounds is just wrong. From the County fair to Swap-Meets & Auto Racing our "San Joaquin County Fairgrounds" has it all and more to offer our people. The Mayor is pushing an idea that would COMPLETELY ELIMINATE these events from Stockton FOR EVER. He wants to build "affordable housing" where your Fairgrounds now stands. There is plenty of VACANT Government - Owned property around San Joaquin County that could be developed for this! PLEASE HELP!
