An apartment maintenance technician must be able to perform routine maintenance and repair tasks competently and safely. Common maintenance and repair tasks can include repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains, replacing air filters, ceiling fans, and sheetrock patching, installing, and repairing wires, plugs, and switches. Other duties include pool cleaning, tree pruning, and landscape upkeep. Must have knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, appliances, etc.
