About Tandem Tandem is a rapidly growing startup with a unique community-focused approach to micromobility. Like our name implies we want to serve as trusted advisors to our partner cities, collaborating with them to ensure successful bike share and scooter programs. We are teamed up with Movatic, a premium software platform that enables users to rent bikes, scooters, and other assets and allows cities and operators to seamlessly manage their micromobility systems. The Details We’re looking to hire an enthusiastic individual with a passion for bikes, your community, and sustainable transportation. You will be a key part of our operations team, supplying bikes and parts to our national network of fleets with a homebase at our warehouse in Wichita, KS. This role's primary responsibility will be to work closely with the rest of Tandem Operations to ensure reliable delivery of parts and bikes to keep Tandem Mobility Markets running smoothly while setting up assets for new markets and expansion opportunities. You will treat the warehouse as your own, with full ownership of the assets, including organization and inventory. You will report directly to our Strategic Operations Manager. Duties and Responsibilities -Prepare and ship orders to our national network of mechanics for new program launches. -Manage inventory by recording incoming and outgoing shipments and performing regular cycle counts. -Receive incoming shipments and organize those assets for future shipments. -Prep bikes, locks, scooters for shipment by performing software setup and testing. -Repair bicycles using our tools and instructions. There will be on the job training...no need to be a master mechanic on day 1. -Installation of bike decals, wraps, and QR codes in preparation for new launches. Requirements - Bike mechanic and/or order fulfillment/warehouse experience is a plus, but not required. - Ability to lift and transport several 40 pound bikes depending on need. - Ability to use a smartphone and camera to communicate over phone calls, text, email. - Ability to keep oneself accountable to a set of goals, and schedule themselves accordingly. - Strong communication skills, willingness to communicate status updates and context. - Flexibility to work with varying schedules and workloads. - Detail focused and good judgement/common sense, able to take initiative and make independent decisions. - Able to think critically about what Tandem HQ might need or want to know about the system, not just answering our questions and responding to our requests. - Able to be friendly and professional, representing Tandem locally as needed.
