Singer Musician looking to start a soul band in the Twin Cities

Hey there everyone! I'm a lead Singer/musician with some new songs, I moved here during the pandemic from NYC. I am in a successful touring band out there called On The Sun (www.onthesunmusic.com) I still fly back and forth for gigs. I'm looking to put together a band out here in Minneapolis as well. My long term goal would be to have a 4 or 5 piece band that plays frequently in The Twin Cities and surrounding areas. I'd like us all to get paid, so this is going to be an actual band situation (no hired guns!!) The sound: -Stevie Wonder -The Dip -The Roots -The California Honeydrops -The Alabama Shakes -D'Angelo -The Meters -The Ohio Players -Sly and the Family Stone Imagine the Summer of Soul documentary but in 2021 You: -I'm looking for players that are willing to build a new sound and be collaborative! It's important that we are in this together. -Be able to hang! You can hear my work online, if you think you're good, awesome, I'd love to have you! I'm a good songwriter and an ok rhythm guitar player, but I will crush a song vocally and would like to have a band that reflects that. -Be knowledgable about the local music scene. I've been a professional for years now, but I'm new to Minneapolis and need guidance as far as booking, good and bad venues, and what makes sense for us in the scene in general. -Don't be too green and don't be too seasoned. I'd like to find people that are comfortable performing, but also aren't set in their ways and willing to think outside the box. -If you can sing back ups that is a huge plus!! I'm mainly looking for rhythm musicians, but I think harmonies are a huge factor in music and would love to have people who can also sing. -I'd love it if you are able to bring some people to the shows. That's the least important thing out of all this, and I will definitely choose talent over draw. It's pivotal however, that you recognize that this project will be us together, not a solo act.
